10 Days Mt Kilimanjaro Grand Traverse

You will have 3hrs Transfer from hotel to the starting point. Together with the group, you will do all the formalities at the entrance gate and you will have lunch before the start of your climb. You will start with a gradual beautiful ascend that goes within the rainy forest to the first camp. You must have your rain gears with you, do not ignore, it often rains. This trail is beautiful and quiet and so it will give you an opportunity to see wild animals like Colubus Monkeys, blue monkeys beside different species of birds and flowers too.
This is a short less strenuous that will end at the camp of where be received at the camp by Kilimanjaro songs from your team. You will be briefed on sanitation starting with the learning on how to make good use of our potable private toilette. You will then be assigned your tent with sleeping mattress inside of where you will staying for all the nights that you will be on the mountain. You will be waken up by 6:30am with a hot drink inside your tent. At 7:00am our waiter will bring you a pile of warm water for washing. You will start the packing and 7:30am you will have full breakfast . After breakfast, you will have to refill your nelgen bottles before the start with ascending gradually within the beautiful forest. The trail will steepen more as it enters the heather zone as you go up. Either the trail has descending slopes before it leads to the final ascend to Shira ridge. The total distance covered is 7kms/5-8hrs.

You will wake up at 6:30am and have hot drink inside your tent. You will have breakfast at 7:30 and at 8:00am you will start with almost a flat ascend in the plateau towards Shira 2Camp. We recommend that you go direct to the camp for hot lunch and later in the day have evening excursion.

This is the easiest day and it covers 5kms/2hrs. Afternoon excursions are paramount.

Wake-up at 6:30am for morning call in your tent with full breakfast at 7:30am and start with a steep climb that will last for almost 1hr 20mns within the Moorland towards the North. After the steep ascend, you will have a normal trek across the Mooreland and alpine desert towards Pofu Campsite for hot Lunch, dinner, and overnight.

You will wake-up at 6:30am with morning Call from your Tent with full Breakfast at 7:30am. You will start at 8.00am with a normal trek in the heather and moorland zones towards North East to Rongai 3rd Cave Camp for Hot Lunch and dinner.

You will wake-up at 6:30am for morning call in your tent with breakfast at 7:30am.As from 8:00am, you will hike gradually in the moorland and later in the desert up to School Hut for Hot Lunch for dinner and overnight in the mountain tents.

You will wake-up early for Breakfast and start with a steep Climb to meet Marangu route at Hans Meyer Cave. From Hans Meyer you will hike up to the Crater Rim Gilman’s point (5680mts).After Gilman’s point you will descend in the Crater Camp for Hot Lunch. After Lunch, you will steeply climb to the summit and return to the Camp in the Evening for dinner and overnight. (Any signs of altitude should be dealt with immediately and a quick descent down to Barafu camp is ideal)

You will wake-up early for sunrise pictures, take full breakfast, and descend to Millennium High Camp for Hot Lunch with dinner. (We recommend that the tipping ceremony be done in the evening of this day)

You will wake up at 6:30am for full breakfast at 7:00am and descend within the heather zone towards Mweka Camp. After Mweka, you will descend to Mweka gate for fresh hot lunch ceremony with the team and awarding of the certificates for our success and later transfer back to Hotel for hot shower and dinner.
